Manly Vale is to the north of Balgowlah situated on either side
of Condamine Street. From the heights of Balgowlah the road dips down and then
rises again as you head up to Manly North and Brookvale. It is from this valley
or "vale" that the suburb takes its name.

The suburb grew up with many pre World War 2 homes. In the old
days it had dairies, tennis courts and dirt roads. Just over 20 years ago the
area began to have rapid business growth particulary with the addition of the
Burnt Bridge Creek freeway taking traffic north from Spit Bridge.

Today it is an area with many large warehouse or
superstores that can be great for making larger purchases. Yet if you step back
a little from the main road you will still discover many of the interesting well
kept homes.
The architectural styles cover weatherboard cottages, to
federation and through to Art Deco.
The area also has two golf corses adjoining Manly lagoon.
