About Us

Balgowlah Online was created by Afferent Media, a Balgowlah based web publishing and marketing company.

Afferent's work has been for companies across Sydney, through Australia and at times international. However, the proprietor, Malcolm Engledew, noticed just how many businesses there were in the immediate area that weren't always easy to spot.

Despite being less known than the sister suburb of Manly, the Balgowlah - North Harbour area actually contains approximately twice as many organisations.

It was therefore decided to create this project to let people both locally and remotely discover the businesses, beauty and history of this area.
